Overview
All problems are interpersonal relationship problems. From social networks to excessive AI chatbots, tech is disabling our courage to speak with each other. We must relearn how to ask for help.
You might have one therapist but ten times as many peers with experience closer to your own. The first people we turn to in crisis are our friends, not our therapists — yet we often fear sharing personal issues with the people best placed to hear them.
Enact is an application built on Enactivism, Individual Psychology, and Method Acting. You enact a difficult conversation with a friend: you play yourself, your friend plays the person you’re struggling to talk to. The system guides the process and an AI layer records and summarizes each section, so you can take your key learnings into the real conversation.
Method — the 3 Ps
Purge, Play, Practice. First purge the emotional tension you’ve been holding — acting out the situation with a third party leads to catharsis. From renewal, play with the situation: try new approaches, consider other perspectives, learn to forgive. Then practice the scene with emotional maturity and sound arguments, prepared for the real thing.
